My girls

I am still getting use to saying "my girls", but I love it! I love having two girls. Taylor loves Zoey and Zoey adores Taylor. As soon as Zoey hears Taylor's voice, she looks for her and smiles. Taylor loves to make Zoey smile. Zoey smiles alot now and has just started laughing this week - her laugh melts my heart!

National Championship Cheer Competition

This morning I took the girls to Fort Worth to watch our little cousin Berkley cheer in the National Championship Cheer Competition. It was just like Bring It On! Berkley is 5 and a total rockstar! We got there just in time to watch her cheer and she was awesome. She is the youngest in her cheer squad, but she did great! Taylor absolutely loved watching Berkley and kept asking when she gets to be a cheerleader.

Berkley is the small girl in the back.

Zoey at dinner with us

Zoey is just now holding her head up all the time and can now sit in her bumbo chair. Taylor loved sitting in the bumbo chair when she was little. Zoey doesn't last too long in it, but it's nice that she can sit with us and we don't have to hold her all the time. She sat on the dinner table last night while we ate dinner. She seemed to enjoy being able to see all of us.

Zoey is 3 months old

Zoey is 3 months today! Zoey was smiling, but the flash scared her - sorry. It has been a fast three months, but so fun. Zoey is a great baby. She smiles, eats well, sleeps okay and loves to snuggle. She was mocking Nathan yesterday when he was laughing at her. It was precious.

The best birthday ever!

Nathan surprised me on Christmas with an early birthday present. He bought me a cruise for my 30th birthday! We left Jan. 2 out of Galveston (dropped the girls off in Kingwood with my parents). We stopped in Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Jamaica. In Cozumel we did an excursion to the Mayan ruins. We thought we were going to the giant sacrifical temples, etc. and we actually went to some dinky little Mayan ruins which were little piles of rubble. It was no where near what we thought it was going to be.

Anyways, on my birthday, we ported in the Caymans and went to Sting Ray City and swam with the sting rays, went to the Turtle Farm and saw tons of sea turtles (my absolute favorite animal) and then we got in a pool with a dolphin, his name was Newton, and got to kiss him and shake his fins. It was the absolute best birthday day ever! The next day we were in Jamaica and climbed the Dunns River Falls. Jamaica was incredibly beautiful. It is mountainous and covered with dense rainforest - breathtaking! We climbed up the waterfall which was also beautiful and so fun. The last two days of the cruise we were on the boat heading home and spent the days doing activities and hanging out with our new friends. We had an awesome trip and I would love to do the same cruise again. Nathan did good - it was the best birthday present!
