Easter Egg hunt at preschool
This morning Taylor was so excited to go to school. She took Easter cookies for snack today and she got to take her Easter basket for their egg hunt. She put on her pink dress, her headband, and grabbed her basket and was ready to go!

ECPTA Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday morning we went to the Early Childhood PTA Easter Egg Hunt. It was a beautiful sunny, but super windy day. There was a small petting zoo and a pony for the kids to ride on. Taylor rode the pony 3 times and absolutely loved it! I wasn’t sure if she would ride it at first, but she was all about it. Taylor did a great job hunting those Easter eggs. She bolted out there and grabbed all the eggs she could get. She had more fun opening all of them to see what was inside.
One Republic Concert
Friday night we headed to Oklahoma to the Winn Star Casino to see One Republic play. They are awesome by the way if you haven’t heard of them! We ate dinner at Toby Keith’s restaurant I Love This Bar and the food was fantastic – huge, but fantastic. We got to watch Baylor beat the snot out of St. Mary’s in the Sweet 16 game while we ate. After dinner we went to the concert and we were on like the 20th row back from the stage. It was awesome! I’ve never been that close at a concert. The lead singer kept hoping down off the stage and running around the front section – we were so close to him! I think The Winn Star Casino concert scene is my new favorite venue. The tickets are relatively inexpensive and you are so close to the stage. This was the second time we’ve seen One Republic and I absolutely love them! Let me tell you, the lead singer has a voice – he can wail. The concert was amazing and we had such a great time.

Toddler Hide and Seek
Taylor loves to play hide and seek. I call it Toddler Hide and Seek because she doesn't play quite right yet. When it is her turn to hide, she giggles the whole time she is hiding and then goes, "mommy, I'm in here" or "mommy, here I am ". It makes me laugh. Then, when it is my turn to hide, she gives me about 3 seconds to hide and goes, "mommy, where are you?". If I don't answer, she gets worried and sad. This also makes me laugh. We just played and I don't know if she got tired of playing or just forgot to find me. I stood in the bathroom for 5 minutes and when I came out, she was in her pink chair watching Dinosaur Train. Gotta love a 2-year olds attention span!!

Nathan's first day at his new job
Nathan started his new job today at Ideal Image. He was so excited for his new job and was still excited when he came home tonight, so that was a good sign! He said he really just did the usual first day things like filling out paperwork and talking with people to get a feel for the company and his new role in the company. All in all it was a great first day according to him. We are both so thankful for this opportunity and door that God has opened for him and our family.

Week update
I am falling behind on my blogging - probably because the last week seemed like a blur. My grandmother is was in from Oregon for 3 weeks at my parents house in Houston. We went down two weekends ago to see her and took her to the zoo. Then my mom and GiGi came up to stay with us on Tuesday and took Taylor back home with them on Thursday. Friday Nathan and I headed back down to Houston to spend GiGi's last weekend in Texas with her and pick up Taylor. We were suppose to go to the rodeo, but the crazy weather blew in and no one wanted to go to the rodeo in the pouring rain.
I am so glad GiGi came down and we got to spend so much time with her. Taylor loved getting to hang out with GiGi and grandma...considering they both spoil her rotten!

Nathan's new job
Last Friday Nathan had a job interview with a company called Ideal Image. The president of TAC (where Nathan currently works) left 2 years ago to start a new company - Ideal Image. Nathan had mentioned a few weeks ago that he was interested in talking to Wes about his new company and what they are doing, but decided not to contact Wes. Ideal Image only works with Christian organizations like churches, office buildings, and universities to save them money with energy solutions.
Wes contacted Nathan two weeks ago to see if he was interested in just talking with him about the company. (This was definetly a God thing) Nathan wasn't expecting much when he went to talk to Wes last Friday, but 2 hours later, Nathan was so excited about the opportunity Wes had offered him. He was asked to join the company as one of the 13 founders of the company. They currently have 10 employees and are going to hire 3 more this year. The company is only 2 years old and doing really well. We talked about it all weekend and he turned in his two weeks notice to TAC (now Schneider Electric) on Tuesday.
It is so nice to see him so excited about this new adventure in his life. I am really excited for him too. The company is based in Grapevine on Main Street, so he will still only be about 15 minutes away from the house. We prayed about this for weeks and truly feel like it is an answered prayer.

Weekend with Nana and Poppy
Nathan's parents came in Saturday morning for the weekend. We went to the art festival in Frisco and then to the Frisco mall. It was a nice, relaxing weekend with them. Sunday I had to teach Sunday School and had a baby shower later that afternoon, so they went to the Grapevine Mills mall to ride the train and do a little shopping.
