Library Halloween Party
Today when we were at the library checking out books, the librarian asked Taylor if she was coming to their Halloween party tonight, so, of course, she got super excited about the Halloween Party. There was no way I was going to tell her no. Taylor put on her cosutme tonight and I took her to the Halloween Party at the library. April brought Abigail and the girls had a blast together! They got to play games, make crafts, storytime, and snacks. Fun!! Fun!!

Days 2 and 3 of potty training
Well, Sunday was day 2 of potty training. Sunday didn't go as well as Saturday did. Taylor had 2 accidents, but one of them was my fault. We were talking to my brother on Skype and I didn't take to the potty when I was suppose to, so, she peed on me. I learned my lesson!
Monday was day 3 and she did great! Nathan came home yesterday from St. Louis and helped with the potty training since I actually had to do some work. She didn't have 1 accident yesterday! She seems to like being a big girl like all her friends. She also loves getting to pick out her big girl panties, but she wants to wear a new pair every time she goes to the bathroom. Looks like I am going to have to go buy some more panties!
She seems to have it down, but I know it will still take a while until she is fully potty trained. I am really proud of her and I think she is proud of herself. The past 3 days weren't as bad as I thought they would be. I was a little stir crazy though after being locked in the house for 3 days straight. It did help that we had to go to the airport yesterday morning to pick up Nathan. That was a nice break.
No more diapers!!

Potty Training Day 1
Taylor started potty training yesterday. Our baby sitter (homebased daycare provider), Tammy, has a foolproof 3 day potty training program that has worked for her parents for the last 18 years. So, yesterday was day 1 of our potty training program. We have to go sit on the potty for 10-15 minutes every 15 minutes. To tell you the truth, I was dreading doing this for 3 days.
Taylor did awesome yesterday!! She went almost every time I put her on the potty. She cried a few times, but that just seemed to make her pee, so then she was happy. She didn't have any accidents yesterday and was dry when she woke up from nap. Rock on! Tammy said she knew Taylor was ready and I agree. I think we will have this down pack by the end of day 3.
Taylor did so well yesterday, we went through almost all of the potty training presents we had gotten her. I had 15 presents ready for the 3 days. She had 3 left by the time she went to bed yesterday. I had to resort to pulling out some of her small Christmas presents and wrapping them. It's a good thing I like to Christmas shop early!

Fruit Loops make me smile
Taylor had a bowl of fruit loops for breakfast this morning. I am not a fan of fruit loops, but she seems to love them. I only bought them so that she could work on stringing them on a string since they have a big whole in the middle of them. I think she ate more than she got on the string that day. Anyways, she had some this morning for breakfast without milk because we are out of milk, so I let her take her bowl of fruit loops with us in the car on the way to Tammy's.
I had to go to the podiatrist for my foot this morning after I dropped her off. When I was sitting in the exam room waiting for the doctor, I looked down and saw a little piece of green fruit loop on my sweater. I picked it up and smiled because it made me think of Taylor. It was such a sweat, sincere moment.
That moment I knew what I was going to write in our 'Book of Joy' tonight. To fill you in, Courtney told us about this lady who's blog she reads who does a bible story every night after dinner with her family and then everyone tells what they are thankful for. I think it is called a Gratitude Journal. Courtney told us about this one morning in Bible Study and gave us our own journals. Mine had a "J" on it, so I call it our Book of Joy. We try to do it every night, but we don't always remember to do it. Okay, back to my story.......Tonight, I will write Fruit Loops in my Book of Joy.
It's the little things in life........

ECPTA Halloween Party
Tonight we went to the Early Childhood PTA Halloween Party. Taylor dressed up like Baby Jaguar from Go Diego Go! on Nichelodeon. Taylor likes to ROAR in her outfit. She had a great time playing games and seeing all her friends at the party.

40 days of love date night
Our church is partaking in the 40 days of love bible study. The 40 days of love bible study is to help build your relationship with your spouce, others and God. Weekly we meet with a group and watch a video and then have a group discussion about the lesson. Last night the church sponsored a date night. Nathan and I went to Olive Garden for dinner where we answered our questions for the study and then we went bowling. We haven't bowled since I was pregnant (3 years ago). We had a great time and it was nice getting to go on a date with my hubby.

New camera pictures!!
Early Christmas presents!!!
Yesterday was like Christmas in the Theaux house! I've been wanting a new, good digital camera that is fast and takes great pictures. I have a Canon Sure Shot that I love and use all the time, but it isn't fast enough or take good enough pictures. Yesterday Nathan came home with a Nikon 5000 as an early Christmas present for me. He wanted to make sure we had it for all the holidays coming up. I am sooooo excited! Once I figure out how to use it, I'll post my first pictures.
Taylor was so excited last night to get to sleep in her new big, big girl bed. Taylor's new bed is my old bed that I slept in since I was in a crib. I love seeing it in Taylor's room now.
Taylor also had an early Christmas yesterday. When I was in Austin last week for work training, I stayed at my parents lake house Friday night after training. Mom and Dad are wanting to move some beds around at the lake house and get a king size bed for the one of the rooms, so they said we could have my old twin trundle bed for Taylor. When I was there, I loaded up my old bed and brought it back. We had planned to give it to her for Christmas, but since I had the chance to get it last weekend, I did. We put it straight into Taylor's room instead of leaving it in the garage for 3 months.
