Dreams....crazy, wild dreams

Since the moment I got pregnant, I have had some wild, crazy dreams every night. Some nights I have 2 or 3 different dreams. I had a dream last week that we were at the doctor's office just about to find out the gender of the baby and I woke up a second before they told us the sex. I was so frustrated when I woke up!

Last night I had the best dream ever! I did have one crazy dream first, but then I had the best dream. I don't remember any details of how it came about. All I remember is Nathan and I were standing in a park by a fountain and he said, "Okay, I'll go get our baby" and I said, "Okay, I'm ready". He walked away and came back holding our baby! The baby was wrapped in a blanket and all we could see is it's head. I got to hold the baby and touch it. It was so soft and had the same amount of hair as Taylor did when she was first born. Now that I think about it, it looked just like Taylor did when she was a newborn! I woke up this morning so excited for this baby! My heart is filled with so much joy for this baby! I can't wait to meet him/her!

CVECPTA Round Up!

The Early Childhood PTA had a super yummy dinner at Hard 8 (awesome BBQ) and a silent auction last night. We got to see some friends we don't see often and enjoy some great food. There were like 80 items to choose from in the silent auction. We voted on a few, but only one one. We won a gift card to P.F. Changs! Can't wait to have to use that gift card! Taylor made a few coloring pages and rode the rocking horse. We tried to play horse shoes, but neither of our aim was that great and we were afraid we would hit someone.

Earth Day Festival in Coppell

Yesterday morning we went to Town Center in Coppell and enjoyed a few Earth Day festivities. They had tons of both open to help you become greener. I was really surprised how many high school, middle school, and even the girl scouts had booths to talk about becoming greener and how they want to make our community greener. There was a band that played recycled items like trash can lids, water bottles, and cans - they were fun to watch. There were a few kids activities too....Taylor made a coffee filter butterfly and colored a beach ball.

Enjoying some popcorn

Dancing to the bands music

The next sonogram....

Our next sonogram will be the gender sonogram! We are scheduled for May 18th to find out the sex of the baby. I will be 17.5 weeks along and am so glad that I don't have to wait till 20 weeks to find out. I am beyond excited!!!! Everyone has been telling me that it is a boy since I have been so sick with this pregnancy and I wasn't that sick with Taylor. Taylor keeps telling people that she wants a baby sister, but Nathan (along with my brother) is rooting for a boy. I'm happy with a boy or a girl as long as they are healthy. I just want to know which one it is already!!

Too wise for her age

While I did the dishes tonight after dinner, Nathan was upstairs in Taylor's room reading her books. Nathan was asking her about our family and who's his mom, his dad, my mom, and my dad, and who her dad is. She got them all right and then she informed Nathan that she is his daddy. He would say, "No, I'm your daddy" and Taylor would say, "No, I'm your daddy". They kept going back and forth so I yelled up, "Nice argument yall are having". Taylor yelled back down, "We are not arguing, we are discussing!"

Fire Station playdate

This morning we met some friends from ECPTA at the Coppell fire station. The kids got to sit in the fire trucks, see some of the cool equipment and gear they use, crawl all over the trucks, see a fireman in all his gear, and tour the fire house. We got to see where they eat, where they sleep, and where they hang out. Taylor absolutely loved going to the fire station and she thinks firemen are the coolest!

Jon Bon Jovi concert

Sunday night Nathan and I had date night and went to the Bon Jovi concert! We had a blast at the concert. It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. He sang some of his new songs and most of all his old songs. The entire stadium was up on their feet singing to all the old songs - it was a blast. His new songs are really good too, we just hadn't heard them before the concert.

********Scentsy********

I love Scentsy! I have just started selling Scensty and I absolutely love it! I use my warmer almost every day because I love the refreshing smell that fills the entire house. Scentsy makes wickless warmers that use a 25-watt lightbulb to heat the wax. The warmers nor the wax get hot enough to burn you, so they are safe to have around children and pets. Taylor stuck her hand in the wax when we first starting using ours. At first she freaked, but then when she realized it wasn't that hot and it hadn't burned her, she was fine. Then she thought it was neat how the wax dried on her fingers so quickly. Scentsy also has room sprays (which are fabulous and work great in bathrooms), car freshners, and wall plug-ins. There are over 80 scents, so there are scents for everyone. My absolute favorite is perfectly pomegranate.

I just had my launch party last Thursday to kick off my new business. It went really well and I just know everyone who ordered is going to love their stuff! Mom is hosting a party for me this weekend in Houston and I am really excited to get to see all our friends down there.

If you are interested in seeing what it is all about, you can check out my website: sweetkatie.scentsy.us. Also, if you are interested in hosting a party, just let me know and we can schedule it for whenever you are available.

Baby Theaux #2

We are truly excited about this baby and can't wait to meet it! We are due on October 21, 2010. I'm shooting for a 10-10-10 baby.....that would be the coolest birthday ever! This pregnancy has been totally different from when I was pregnant with Taylor. With Taylor, if I got nauseous, I would eat something and feel better. With this one, it doesn't matter if I eat or not, the nausea doesn't go away and it has been daily. I am finally getting over the nausea period (at least it hasn't been a 8 hour daily battle the last week or so) and have now moved on to headaches. We are 12 weeks today, so I'm hoping all these fun morning sickness things will stop by 16 weeks. If I remember right, that is when I started to feel good with Taylor.

As you can tell from the blog title picture, I am already showing and having to wear maternity clothes. I don't mind because there is nothing more comfortable than maternity pants with the giant elastic waist! I didn't start showing with Taylor till at least 4 months and with this one, I've been showing since 2 months. It amazes me how different your pregnancies can be. We are done after 2 kids (God willing), so hopefully this is our last pregnancy. I'm not one of those super cute pregnant ladies. With Taylor I got enormous (gained 65 lbs) and my feet were so swollen it hurt to walk on them. I am trying my best to not get to that point this time.

I think we find out the sex of the baby at the end of May/beginning of June. I can't wait! We have saved the majority of Taylor's clothes in case this one is a girl, but we realized the other day that none of the clothes we saved are the correct season for this baby since they will be 4 months difference. We might be able to use a few things, but most of it won't work. I'm okay with that because that means I get to go shopping!

Taylor talks about the baby in my stomach all the time and loves to kiss my tummy. She has been a trooper on the days that I've laid on the couch for hours on end because I felt so bad. She is so good at playing by herself or just sitting next to me and watching tv. I can't wait to see her with her new baby brother or sister. She already asks if she can help change diapers and feed the baby. I think she is going to be a rockstar big sister!

Easter 2010......our Easter Secret

Friday afternoon we headed out of town to Brownwood. Nana had 18 eggs ready for us to color when we got there. Taylor had a blast coloring on the eggs and then dying them.

Saturday morning my parents met us in Brownwood at Nathan's parents house. Once the family was together, Taylor put on her Easter outfit and told the grandparents our Easter secret!

"This chick has an Easter secret..."
"I'm going to be a big sister!"

Taylor bringing the grandparents their Easter baskets

The grandparents were so excited to hear that Taylor is going to be a big sister. We told Taylor 2 weeks ago about the baby. She went to our first sonogram with us to see the baby. We weren't sure if she would fully understand, but she does. She pats my tummy and tells people that there is a baby in my tummy. When we first told her, she was calling the baby "Baby Jesus". We have told her numerous times that this is not Baby Jesus in my tummy, but a baby like Baby Jesus. She seems really excited to get to be a big sister. She asks all the time if she can change the diapers and feed the baby - my answer is always yes! She does change her mind daily whether she wants a baby brother or a baby sister. Nathan is trying to talk her into a baby brother - I'm rooting for either.

Nathan's grandparents, Uncle John, Uncle Mark, and Aunt Hattie came over for Easter lunch on Saturday. After lunch Taylor went on an Easter egg hunt in the front yard and was surprised by Poppy with 7 colored baby chicks! She loved getting to pet the chicks and hold them.

Going through all her eggs with daddy after the hunt

Sunday morning the Easter bunny came by the ranch and left Taylor a ton of Easter baskets/presents. It felt like a mini Christmas or something. She got 3 large pink bunny rabbits, 5 Easter baskets and a ton of stuff!

My parents left after breakfast to head back to Houston. We got ready and headed to church with Nathan's parents. Taylor sat through the service with us and did great. I never realized how much of a wiggle worm she is. She did a great job keeping quiet and playing with her toys, but she was up and down the whole time.
