Natural History Museum in Fort Worth

After church today we meet Nathan's parents in Fort Worth. We had a yummy lunch at Uncle Julios and then we went to the Natural History Muesum in Fort Worth.

Wedding shower last weekend

Last Saturday my mom and I helped host a bridal shower in Kingwood. Ashley and I have been friends since we were 5 years old. We were next door neighbors for several years and then stayed in touch all these years. We are so excited that she is getting married and we love her fiancee. They are so cute together and perfect for each other.

Valentines Day 2011

This was Zoey's first Valentines Day. Taylor is loving getting to show Zoey the ropes and teach her about all the holidays. Zoey got a new playmat for Valentines Day and Taylor got some books.

Zoey is 4 months old!

Zoey is now 4 months old. She is such a sweet, precious little baby. We went to the doctor last week for her 4 month check up. She weighed in at a whooping 16.9 lbs. and is 26.75 inches long! The doctor said she is in the 97 percentile and doing great. He did say she might be a volleyball player when she gets older.

Preschool valentines party snack

Taylor took snack to preschool today for her Valentines party. Yesterday we made sugar cookies and planned to ice them and decorate them. I figured I had a heart cookie cutter or two, but of course I didn't look till we were already in the middle of making the cookies. I couldn't find a heart cookie cutter, but I swear we have every other shape imaginable. I found Easter, train, dinosaurs, Halloween and Christmas cookie cutters - but no heart. So, we ended up using star cookie cutters and I figured I could draw a heart on them. Wrong again. The gel pen I was going to use to draw on the cookies did not draw good, so I decided to scratch that idea. I ended up icing the cookies with pink icing and sprinkles. Taylor loved them and didn't care they weren't hearts.

Sweetheart Ball

Saturday night Nathan took Taylor to the father-daughter dance in Coppell. The Sweetheart Ball had an Alice in Wonderland theme and the girls were to wear their best un-birthday dresses! Several of Taylor's friends were there and she had a blast dancing with Nathan and her friends.

Snow Days

I flew out to New Orleans for work last Sunday and then thankfully flew home around 5pm on Monday (I was suppose to get home around 9pm). The ice storm blew in around 10pm Monday night. Mom and dad had come up to watch the girls Monday, so they left as soon as Nathan got home Monday evening and thankfully they made it to Austin and missed the storm.

The ice was so bad that Nathan only went in to work on Thursday and I stayed home all week. Thursday night it snowed like a blizzard - it was beautiful! Nathan and Taylor went out and played in the snow Friday evening and Taylor and I played in it Saturday morning before it started melting. Zoey went out in the snow for just a few minutes Saturday morning, but she wasn't impressed!
