Father's Day 2010

We had a nice Father's Day this year. We usually have the whole family here because Taylor's birthday has always fallen on Father's Day weekend. This year it was just us three (and a half). We went to church, had lunch at P.F.Changs (one of Nathan's favorites), and then went to a wedding shower at a park. The wedding shower was at 2pm at a park pavillion and it was about 101 degrees outside. It was a nice shower, but it was soooooo hot.

Fabric's for Zoey's room

Instead of using Taylor's baby bedding, we decided to go with a tropical/ocean theme and get fabrics to cover her bedding. My mom is an amazing sower and is going to make all the new bedding. She was going to recover Taylor's bedding and then decided it would be easier to make all new bedding. I am really excited about the new bedding and the new nursery. I loved Taylor's stuff, but it is fun to do something new.

Taylor's 3rd Birthday!

My baby is 3 years old! Monday, June 14th, was Taylor's 3rd birthday. My parents stayed Monday to watch Taylor while Nathan and I went to work. Nathan, grandma, and grandpa woke Taylor up that morning with balloons and singing Happy Birthday. I came home a little early from work and the grandparents left to head back to Houston. We played all afternoon and had a fabulous birthday dinner when Nathan got home.

Family birthday party

We celebrated Taylor's birthday on Sunday with the family. We opened presents from the family and then had cake and ice cream. Taylor had a blast all weekend playing with all her new toys. She was having so much fun playing that she opted to stay home with the men while the ladies went shopping! I couldn't believe she chose to stay home and not go shopping. She loves to shop as much as I do. It was nice having both sets of grandparents here and cousin Nancy. Taylor loves having an audience!

Taylor's 3rd birthday party

June 12th, we had Taylor's 3rd birthday party at the Allen Road Park in Coppell. My parents and my dad's cousin were here for her party. The kids seemed to love playing on the playground, eating some cake, and then going back to playing on the playground - doesn't get any better than that! It was a little windy, okay, a lot windy, but at least it was only 85 degrees and overcast. It was so windy that I could only light one candle (just barely) on her cake.

After the park we went to lunch at Fat Daddy's like we have every year after Taylor's birthday party. When we got home, Taylor opened up her presents from her birthday party and then played with all of them for the rest of the afternoon. Nana and Poppy came in Saturday night to celebrate Taylor's birthday.

First Ballet Class

Taylor attended her first ballet class tonight at the Ballet Academy of Texas. She was so excited all day for her first ballet class. Abigail is in her class, Lily from preschool is in her class, and Mackenzie from church is in her class. I'm so glad that Taylor knew some kids in her class. She did great and did everything her teacher told her to do. She seemed to really, really like her ballet class.

I didn't get any good pictures of Taylor in class because we were behind a one way window and the reflection was so bad, the pictures would only catch the reflections. I did get some good video of Taylor in class though.

Memorial Day weekend 2010

We headed down to Lake Travis for Memorial Day weekend with John, Jen, and Grant Molden. My parents met us there. We swam and BBQed all weekend - it was fabulous. I couldn't go on the boat being pregnant, but everyone else went out a few times on the boat. It was Grant's first boat rides and apparently he loved them! We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. Taylor went home with my parents on Monday for the week. They are coming to Dallas on Thursday, so it is only a few days apart. I can't wait to see her though.
